The Rants
Real problems from the people living them, each one running the same three acts: the problem, what they tried, and how it actually ended.
Quiénes Somos
Not a review site. Not consumer content. Not advice from someone who read about the business. Operators talking to operators about the same problems, at the same time.
Qué es esto
Right now the loudest voices about this business belong to people who have never worked a shift in it. They have never made a payroll, never worked a grill, never washed a dish. They are spectators of a sport, calling the game from the stands.
Meanwhile everybody in this business is fighting the same handful of problems in private, alone, convinced it is only happening to them. It is not. It never was.
The Food Rant is where those two facts meet, and where we stop taking it quietly. You bring the problem. Somebody else here has already hit it, tried something, and knows how it turned out.
Who is behind it
The Food Rant was started by Eduardo Feliciano, who came up through this industry the long way. Server, banquets, beverage, then food and beverage director. He was part of opening The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, and then went and built his own path with Feliciano Consulting and The Caterer LV.
That background matters here for exactly one reason: everything on this site is being run by somebody who has actually carried the tray, made the payroll, and signed the vendor contract.
He is not the point though. You are. You are the star of every piece of content here. The host is just holding the microphone.
What you get here
Real problems from the people living them, each one running the same three acts: the problem, what they tried, and how it actually ended.
The actual numbers behind the arguments, every one sourced and linked. Bring facts to a fight, not vibes.
The rants with teeth become episodes, argued out loud with people who have actually done the work.
La línea que sostenemos
We are not careful and we are not neutral. We are accurate, which is harder, and it is the reason none of this can be argued with.
The table only works if people actually sit down at it. Bring the thing you have been saying in your kitchen for a year.
